A weekend at the spa

A bath and some boosters

This weekend I had quite a holiday. First, we went to the vet's office for my yearly boosters. I don't like shots at all, or that thing they put in places where the sun don't shine, but I like my vet. She's fun and has cool toys all over the place. I also get to meet other doggies when I'm there, so it's all good.

They took some blood from me, too, because I'm getting... old... nearly 8! I had my picture taken, too, while my mommy hugged me. I feel bad that it costs so much to take care of me, but I'm glad to be healthy.

The next day was spa day! I got pampered - bathed, brushed and fluffed. I look like a big poofy, fluff ball now, but that's ok. My fur has been shaved down a bit so I'm a lot cooler in the hot weather. Plus, I was just starting to stink so bad even I couldn't stand to be around myself and I normally love stinky things.

Riding in the car is fun, though. I love that. I hang my head out to feel the wind. All those smells, too! I just love it.

I'm going to a new home!

My mom just bought a cute little townhouse. It has hardwood floors. It'll be fun to hear my toenails clacking on the floors. There's also a nice courtyard where I can lay around and a DOG PARK! near by! I cannot wait to see the dog park! Maybe I'll make new friends and have new doggy buddies to play with.

Just chillin'

I've just been chillin'. Gettin' old is for the birds, truly. My leggies are a bit sore these days and it's tough going up and down the stairs. But other than that, I enjoy my walks and the chance to sniff out everything. When the days are cool I love laying around outside, watching people and their doggies go by. I get all waggy when they come to say 'hello.'

I forgot to mention in my last post that I had a nice shave. I always feel so much lighter and quicker on the paws after all that fur gets chopped off. I also look like a puppy and at my age that's a good thing!
