Being with people, playing with the other dogs.
Her kennel! Not being petted first, Leila sleeping next to Dexter instead of her.
She will finally play with a tennis ball. It took her 9 months until she wasn't terrified of one!
Vienna sausage, scrambled eggs, peanut butter!
She loves to be anywhere outside!
Sam has learned how to sit!
Sammie is (was!) our foster dog. She has a neurological problem and cannot go to the bathroom on her own. She also has no sensation in her tail. We do not know if this is due to an injury or something she was born with. Hopefully she will be able to go potty on her own soon and this is a temporary problem. If not, she will need someone who is willing to express her bladder and remove her stools from her as well. This will be a lifelong commitment. She deserves a good life, she already has a sad story to tell if she could only talk! She is very sweet and loves to sit and snuggle next to you on the couch. She gets along well with our 2 dogs . She fits right in like she has always been here in our home.
Sam has gone for acupuncture treatments which did not help her with her neurological disorder. She is still the same happy little dog. She loves her foster daddy, she will cry when he leaves the house, even if he is just going outside.
If Sam is not adopted, we will probably keep her. She is a sweet old girl and she deserves to spend her last days somewhere she will get all the love she has missed out on for a while.
Sam has been adopted by us!! My first foster failure!! She will have a great life here and will be spoiled rotten!!!
Sam passed away on January 22, 2009 from renal failure. She was such a huge part of our lives. She never asked for much from anyone, just to have a home where she was safe and loved. She will remain in our hearts forever.
Rest well my girl.
