Arrival Story:
When we first lost our last dog, Dori, we were going to the pound every day to see of they had found her. After we found out that Dori died, I took our two year old boy to the pound with me to tell the people there that we found Dori and to let our little boy look at the dogs (he loves to go see them). On our way in we saw the cutest little puppy in a cage by the front door all by herself, with a sign on her cage that said something about her "going home today." We had no intentions of getting another dog, in fact I was set on the fact that we would not...we were too heartbroken from losing Dori. We walked around the back for a while looking at all the dogs and some cats, and then me and my son went to leave. As we were walking out the front door I decided to let my little guy say high to that cute puppy that was being kept by itself away from the other dogs, even though I thought the sign said it was adopted already...she looked lonely. When we got closer to the cage and she was sniffing my son I noticed that the sign didn't say she was going home that day...it said that she needed to or they were going to put her to sleep, she had kennel cough and couldn't be there with the other dogs. So, that was that...they got me - there was no way I could just leave her there looking all cute and sad and lonely knowing she was going to die. I debated whether I should call my fiance at work and ask what he thought or if I should just bring her home, and I decided to just take her home and surprise him and my two older boys. Just after we got home with her my fiance came home from work on his lunch break and was so happy to see the cute little puppy sitting on the couch. We took her to the vet that day and she got her medicine for her cold and some shots that she needed, and now she's growing like a vine and healthy as could be!
