Arrival Story:
One of the people on my rescue list sent an urgent email out about a severely injured dog on a 4 lane highway. They though she was the victim of a dog fight. And want somebody to get medical treatment for the dog. It took us about a week to make the decision not to euthanize (the vet thought it might be a good idea); Zoey was touch and go for about 2 weeks. In reality she had suffered sever inhumane abuse and untreated demodex mange for months, heartworms, and lack of a decent nutrition diet. So we settled her medical expense, and medical treatment with the vet, which was ongoing for another 3 months. And we were going to placed her up for adoption. Well, her first adoptive family came to look at her. And I pretty much made it clear me and momma were meant for each other. Even though Momma had been told NO more dogs were allowed. So Momma decided I had already found a forever home with her and that there was no need for adoption. So since Muppy Puppy was not much of a guard dog. I became the guardian and protector the house. And I now can be found most days sitting on the sofa watching to make sure nobody comes into my home or yard. Well, Zoey’s saga continues and I will update in a few weeks. When everything gets worked out and she gets home. Thank you to everybody who help search for Zoey.
