Favorite Food:
I REALLY like dried liver treats, but also a Kong with frozen wet dog food, cheese, jambalaya, hot dogs, ginger snaps with icing and Captain Crunch. I like whatever Mom and Fang happen to be eating. Mom only lets me have a little bit, though.
Favorite Walk:
the nature preserve and especially the dog beach, where my fur gets all wet and spiky and I run up and down in the sand and chase labs into the water as they are retrieving
Best Tricks:
I can pop every single bubble on a piece of bubble wrap very methodically. I have also taught Mom to let me into the back yard whenever I ring a bell.
Arrival Story:
When I was eight weeks old, I was found in a field in rural West Virginia with my sister, and we were taken to a shelter. (That's me, looking sad and lonely in the shelter.) But the shelter doesn't have much money, which is why they have a "high kill rate." Mom adopted me and Fang, my cat, who was an 8 oz kitten. (Check out Fang on her own home page.) Doesn't the picture of me with a blue background look like a fifth grade school picture? I got it taken the day I passed my Canine Good Citizen test!
Bio:
After much analysis, Mom has decided that I am most likely a border collie/golden retriever. I look like a small golden with border collie ears and tails. I stalk prey like a border collie. As you can see from my picture, I run with a double suspension gallop as a small sight hound, which is also a border collie trait. No wonder I'm so fast, and love to run so much! As for the big sweet doggy smile I always have -- I think that's just mine.
