I was asked to take her from a family that decided they could not handle the breed, when she was a puppy of 9 weeks. I had originally wanted to find her a more suitable home, since I was already owned by two other dogs at the time. Fortunately, she managed to wiggle her way into my heart, and she found a home with me.

Hurricane Katrina

Wow. We heard about Hurricane Katrina, but Mom and us dogs are pretty out of the loop when it comes to news...we don't even watch much T.V. We had no idea the destruction was so...terrible. After reading about all those lost souls, human and animal, Mommy started to cry and Lucy, Keevah and I all cuddled around her...we are very sad for our lost brothers and sisters.

We just want to let every one out there in New Orleans and the surrounding areas, that you have our very very heartfelt prayers. It isn't much, but we made a donation of as much as we could. We bought 5 of those 'be kind' collars, to help out a little more.

Mom says that if we were closer, or had the means of getting any homeless animal victims here, we would be fostering more than 2.

On a last note, I want to give huge huge huge dog bones and kudos to all those rescues and individuals who are saving so many lives, human and animal. God bless you all, and you have our prayers.

Or thats what Mom says anyway! She took me to the boardwalk the other night, and we were stopped by a lot of people who wanted to pet me! I loved it! There were some people who were afraid of me at first, especially when Mommy would proudly answer any questions as to my breed with, 'An American Pitbull Terrier'. But of course, then I would wiggle with excitement, and they would have to pet me.

There was one guy who asked Mom if I was an English Bulldog!! I was actually a bit offended by that one! Not that there is anything wrong with bulldogs, mind you, but I'm a pitbull!! I have a much different looking...everything to me! But Mommy just laughed and set him straight.

Another guy saw me and freaked out about how much he loved Pits' and AmStaffs'. He got right in my face and kissed my nose!! I really liked that, even though I tried to pretend indifference....but I couldn't hold it for long! I slobbered all over his face, and that made Mom laugh really hard!

I can't wait til we go back to the boardwalk, there were so many interesting people, and smells! It was alot of fun, even more fun that going to the creak!
