Arrival Story:
ma went to the town lake animal center to play with the animals. she had gone to shelters many times before for this reason, but never actually took one home. she didn't want responsibility. wasn't ready for it... though she had been craving true companionship. she thought that day was no different, but once i caught her eye she was mesmorized. i looked at her with that angel face of mine, slowly leaned against the cement wall and slid down to the ground, all while starring at her. i knew she was a gonner. sure enough, she filled out an application for me that day.
.... but now is a new saga. ma realizes that though she tries sooooooooo hard to make me the happiest puppy out there, maybe it's in my best interest to have a home with a yard. ma's little apartment is just too small for my running desires! i am still young and need lots and lots of time to run and play outside. can you be my best friend forever... and maybe let ma visit me once in a while too? let ma know-- she is very sad but if she finds the right home it will ease the pain...

i'm a very serious thinker, as you can see from my photos. when ma takes a picture of me i always wonder... why? why does she hold this strange thing in front of my face that makes a beep and flashes light right in my face??? humm...

ma is a geek who just got a new camera and she has taken about a billion photos of me today, some of which you can see RIGHT HERE!! hot off the press. i'm just taking a nap on the floor right now, waiting for ma to take me to bull creek to hike and swim. we are going to try to swim together-- ought to be interesting!!!

it's still our first night on dogster and ma is obsessed. she just thinks i am SOOOOOOOOO DAMN CUTE!!!! ma thinks she is the luckiest ma ever. it's true, i'm a great pup and i hope to have millions of pup pals!! i love friends!!!!

our first night on dogster! ma is feeling officially like a geek, but at least it's not a friday or saturday night! we already have some great friends, WOW! chalupa has the greatest name... but we are still waiting for sugar. she was the one who introduced us to dogster when we met her and her owner at the dog park.
let's see, what did we do today? well, ma was gone most of it but when she got home we had a nice long walk around the neighborhood. we almost got chomped by this unleashed dog who was growling at me and charging us. ma tried to pull me away but i wanted to PLAY. i don't understand grumpy dogs...
ok, now i'm going to take a nap in front of the door where i can catch a nice breeze from the window.
