   Leave a bone for Archie

Special Gift Box:
Dogster HQ
The family of Archie, Lily, Maggie, Angus, Cuyahoga

Nicknames:
Archibald, Archie Doodle, the Arch

Quick Bio:
-dog rescue

Likes:
Eating, typing while Mom is on the computer, relaxing on the cool floor in the "flying squirrel" position

Pet-Peeves:
Having to go in his room while Mom is at work

Favorite Toy:
Archie is just learning to play with toys...he doesn't have a favorite yet, but he gives a "paws up" to his Nylabone

Favorite Food:
Cheese and Vienna Fingers (when he can steal one)

Favorite Walk:
Around the house to sniff and "water" every tree and bush in the yard

Best Tricks:
Making everyone fall instantly in love with him, grabbing unmentionables from the laundry basket when no one is looking

Arrival Story:
Archie turned up at a friend's house during a January 2004 snowfall. She cared for him for about two weeks and searched for his owner in the neighborhood, through the local vets, shelter, etc. No owner could be found. Knowing the soft spot I have for rescues, "Mama Monique" told me about Archie and asked me to stop by to see him. I did, and the rest is history. Archie has acclimated well to his new environment and is a sweetheart.

Bio:
Archie says "Hi" to his godparents, Carroll and Jesse. Archie will undergo heartworm treatment beginning in June '04. Keep your paws crossed for a successful treatment. Update: Archie successfully completed his heartworm treatment in July and has a clean bill of health. He was a most excellent patient. He goes in for "snip snip" surgery in October, but shhhh don't tell him. We are planning on some obedience training after he recovers from his surgery so that he can learn to do more than "sit" on command.

Well, my crazy mom has gone and done it. Brought a new furbaby home for me to train. She's pretty interesting (furbaby, that is, not my mom). Little hussy takes my bones though...we're going to have to work on that. I do manage to look pitiful and get a puppy biscuit tossed my way now and then though. I'm just glad I don't get as many baths as the puppy does. There's something to be said about being older and bigger.
