1 year gone and we still miss you!

We probably mention Sailor once a day in our household. She is still very missed and will be forever!

My latest escapades!

Hello world!
Sailor is still doing well. She has dropped to around 80 pounds from her once portly past of 101. She is doing great and still getting around. She took a road trip today to Austin with Indy to help me dog/cat/house sit for a week. She does well in the van even though she needs a little help getting in and out.
Sailor (along with Indy, Rizzo, Sting & Rooney) spent a week with our friends while we went away. She did really well. I just about can't stand to be away from her.

Christmas 2005

I just celebrated my 12th Christmas. And my mom and dad videotaped me tearing up all the discarded wrapping paper, just like I did last year.
I have my good days and my bad. And for some reason the new dog Ruby doesn't like me very much. I try to stay out of her way. The Christmas tree is covered with dog ornaments (lots of Labrador ones of course). The weather is very, very warm and I wish it'd cool down a little.
I got my Christmas bath the night before Christmas Eve. I hated it as usual. And since Mom can't lift me anymore, Dad had to. I was pretty peeved at him for awhile afterward, but mom kept repeating how much better I smelled and how pretty I looked, so that was ok.

As we know it . . .

Yes, well, life is fine. A little crowded around here sometimes. And with my weak back legs I've gotten knocked down a couple of times. (Bully brothers.) Anyway as long as I get my Aspirin and Synflex everything is OK.
Got to go swimming last Saturday. And boy did it wear me out. I even had to lie down in the shallow water for a time. But it was fun. See new pic.
I have a terrible inclination to bug mom for a tootsie roll--wish I didn't have a sweet tooth. Oh well. More later.
