Arrival Story:
To make a long story short.....She had one owner for 11 1/2 years who no longer could care for her. I found out about her and wanted to foster her and I had her in mind for someone particular but goodness gracious she is just soooo perfect and sweet and so well trained. Teddy and Henry are starting to snuggle with her. I originally was going to keep an open mind if someone approached me and wanted her, but she is older and she would be more difficult to place just because of her age. She deserves to be pampered and spoiled and loved for the rest of her life and I know she will get that from me. She is always making me laugh.

Bio:
I originally was going to look for the perfect home for her like I do with all the other rescues I have taken in. However, I had to place my babies in a kennel on two different occassions and when I picked them up it was pretty obvious she had become extremely attached to me. Teddy & Henry are always happy when I pick them up but Sassy just clung so hard to me. Also, she is the first rescue that has come into my home that doesn't put up with any of Henry's B.S. She belongs with me and is so much a part of our family.

I love you so much. Sassy passed on Saturday 17 Jan 09 of congestive heart failure. We were at the vet and she passed away while in my arms. I am so glad to was brought to me. She was 11 1/2 when I got her. She lived a long life. She was 15 yrs old.

And I am becoming buddies with Henry. When we are snuggling with Mama on the loveseat, sometimes Henry rests his head on my back and sometimes I do the same to him. I want to play with Teddy and Henry so bad but they won't play with me. Mama does though. I have tons of squeky toys to play with. I wonder what those gift bags are. We have four now. I wonder if they are for us?

Mama was talking to the vet after I had my first blood and urine test. The doctor said it was a good idea because of my age. Mama told the vet about me drinking and eating more than Teddy and Henry and he mentioned "cushings disease". So I went back to the vet and got a specific test for that. Mama got real real scared but essentially she spent $200 for them to tell her that I'm doing absolutely great for my age. I am my mama's velcro baby and stick to her like glue. She got all freaked out for nothing.
