Wedding dogs bio:
Ginger is a 5 year old pit bull. She is proudly owned by Harry and Susan Parker and family.
She was located at a local shelter for the first 7 months of her life...
Since Ginger's adoption, she has obtained her Canine Good Citizenship certificate, and has been doing pet therapy at local nursing homes.
Ginger has also been an invited guest for the Rhode Island Animal Control association's yearly seminar.
Last summer she was in a fashion show at the Strand with over 300 invited guests.
Ginger is a true ambassador to her breed.
Harry "the dog" is a stunning German Shepherd. He is 2 1/2 years old and is named after Harry Parker (who was his foster dad) Harry is now proudly owned by Dr. and Mrs. George Nelson.
Harry "the dog" came from the West Warwick animal shelter. He was on the brink of death and was taken in by the West Warwick Volunteer Services for animals. Harry went thru major surgery and had a long and extensive medical work up that was paid for thru donations to the West Warwick Volunteer Services for Animals. He was privately fostered by Ginger's family until he was able to find the perfect home.
Harry has gone thru so much in his short life but he made it and has such a zest for life.
Unfortunately, many dogs are not as lucky as Ginger and Harry. Our hopes are to raise money to give more dogs (and cats) like Ginger and Harry long and happy fulfilled lives.
Ginger and Harry are requesting no wedding gifts, They would instead like a $20.00 donation per person to be made to the West Warwick VSA to help their furry shelter friends. They once needed help and now they want to help others who are misfortunate as they once were. Their dreams have come true and they want others to have the same happy ending they had.
RSVP on or before May 20th 2005
