The bed

Truly, the best thing about my home is the bed. Mom and Dad bought a king-size specifically so that we could all sleep together. Wasn't that nice of them?. And it's no ordinary king-size bed--it's a Sleep Number bed, which means that Mom's side is always really, really mushy; exactly the way a dog likes it to be. When Dad leaves in the morning, I move into his spot on the bed and snuggle up with Mom. Sissy either climbs in on the other side of Mom or at the foot of the bed, and we sleep a few more hours like that.

After the bed is made in the morning (although why they bother with that, I don't know) , our special blankets are put down at the end of the bed, and I spend a good part of the day lying on my blanket and making sure the end of the bed doesn't fly up. Other than my neighborhood watch duties, it's the most important thing I do all day, as the bed has all kinds of features and can't be trusted. Right now, Sissy and I are working on finding and hiding those pesky remotes that control the massage function (which we both REALLY hate) and the moving the bed up and down so they can sit and read. What do they need to read for? They've got us!
