hey!

Hi, It's me, Lola. I'm prestigious. I'm regal. I own this couch! I've been blind for two years now. I was going to have surgery, but the doctors said no. I get around just fine- I know my yard, my house- even the neighbors by voice. I love popcorn and cheerios- and can find them with my awesome sniffer!
I can't really get in the car so well anymore. I'm a big boy, so if I go to the vet, papa and mama have to work together. It's hard for me to jump out of the car too. (not fun).
We have a new pup at our house- her name is Hazel. My mama said I'm her best boy for being a calming element in the house. We keep a kitty bell on Hazel's collar so I can hear her coming!

Today is my birthday!

Today I get to do anything I want- so I had a special second breakfast and a walk in the rain around the neighborhood with my mom and no other dogs. I ate a liver pill with peanut butter and took a nap on the sofa till mom came over and said she could see my nipples and started wrestling me. So far it is a good day. We are going out to deliver birthday presents to my doggie friends- cause they need presents too!

Boy oh boy, boating is a blast!

Last weekend me and Hammy got to go on the boat! We had a fun time trolling the waters of the Multnomah Channel. We said hi to some ducks and a bunch of kids on ski-doos. We had a little picnic on a sandy beach where I was rewarded mightilly for my accuracy retrieving a stick.
We missed Shoey and his moms. Shoey had a little surgery, my mom told me. It is the kind of thing we won't talk about when we see him next. So he won't have to relive the experience- but I remember my "surgery". They took a vital part of my anatomy and threw it in the trash. I wonder if Shoey still looks for his missing parts like I do sometimes. Hammy says to get over it- they are gone and they aren't gonna grow back. But I still wonder if I would be stronger and faster with those cute little guys hangin' between my cheeks.
But the boat- that was fun. Plus we got treats at the gas station! And I slobbered all over the window of my pop's truck. It was a fun day. I hope we see Shoey soon!
