Obstacles

May she rest in peace.....

Today was a very hard day. We knew this day was coming but didn't want to believe it. We had to put Chell to sleep this morning. She wasn't able to get around anymore and had lost her hearing. The worst thing was that I had found a tumor on her belly a few weeks ago. I knew it wouldn't be long. She was eating well up until a few days ago. We said our good-byes last night. We knew it was time. She just turned 13 in May. She had overcome so many odds. First it was the cancer then renal failure. The vet told us 2 years ago, that she probably wouldn't make it much longer---that was almost 2 years ago. She never gave up. We love her and will miss her dearly.

Happy Birthday to Me!

I just had my 13th birthday on May 23. I bet ya'll are surprised that i made it this long. I am still hanging in there. My mom loves me so much that I just can't leave her yet. You see, I lost my brother a couple of years ago and I can't stand to see my mom go through that again. I am tough though. Oh, well, I guess I will check back in soon!

Chelsea is a fighter!

It is now starting to cool off for Chelsea and she is doing well. We didn't expect her to make it this long, but she is doing wonderful. She has put on weight. She loves to play and roll around in the grass. She will be 13 in May.
