Arrival Story:
My little Joey came to me because he is "not breeding quality". I volunteer for a local animal rescue group and had a 1/2 JRT and wanted a purebred but of course didn't want to go to a breeder. As one of our workers was doing a rescue at a local animal control she noticed Joey. His previous owners had gotten him as a pup to breed with their female but, "he grew 1 whole inch too tall (and his tail was docked too short) to breed." SO- he was worthless to them. How sad, huh? I think he is perfect! He is definately a true Jack though. All fiesty and crazy! But, he came already housetrained and past his fun puppy stage. I was thrilled! My older male wasn't too thrilled to have him here but they are still (4 years later) getting use to each other. He got a little (chihuahua mix) sister a couple years ago that he just loves. He is very protective of her and she is the only dog he doesn't want to beat up!

My mom loves my "nubbin" the most! It may be "too short" but it's very cute!

I've never written in this before but today I will cuz I'm kinda mopey. Today I got in (another) fight with my big brother Muggsie. He doesn't seem to understand I am the alpha male even though I am younger and less than half his weight. Mom and Dad had to split us up again and I got bite wounds in my ear and on my leg. I am limping right now but Mom says I'll be fine and that I need to stop being a baby. Mom gave me a shot of medicine so I don't get an infection (I can take it though...it doesn't even hurt cuz I'm tough, remember?) and a pain pill to make it all better. Anyway, Muggsie got so mad at me he tried to bite me but accidentally bit Dad, so Dad's really mad at both of us. I got put in time out and so did Muggsie. I feel bad after I fight but my brothers don't understand I am the top dog. Good thing Mom thinks I'm the "cutest Joey ever" because if Dad had his way I'd be outa here! Well, gotta go to bed....bark on!
