Arrival Story:
An individual from an akita rescue organization called me to let me know Anya was in a shelter and didn't have long before she would be euthanized, as it was her third time at the facility. We knew that she had been raised with two cats, which was important to us. We discovered that Anya had been surrendered because the baby in the household was crawling, and Anya shed too much. We drove over an hour to the shelter and adopted her. She was the only dog in the shelter not stressed or barking. She seemed to know she was going home with someone that day!
