Arrival Story:
We lived on a street next to an elementary school in the city. Traffic in the mornings was crazy, between the busses and the parents! The day before Thanksgiving, the Mr. was outside when he saw Peeve following some kids who said they didn't know whose she was. He hated to see her get smooshed in front of all the youngsters, so he brought her inside for safety. She was so easy-going and got along just fine with our other girls. A few days later, we found a young boy said she was his and who took her home, but he brought her back that same evening saying that his mother didn't want her anymore, and that they had already gotten another dog (&*^$@#!!). The Mr. and I had some interesting *discussions* about keeping her ourselves - but she is so lovable and funny, and we couldn't help but love the little devil, er, angel!

Bio:
Peeve has a distinctive beagle head with an unmistakable husky body. She wears a perpetual smile and is nearly always unflappable. Her thick Husky tail has a white tip that waves like a flag; I call it the fish lure. She has a very quirky sense of humor and play. Her favorite trick is to slip free and tuckbutt high-tail it as fast as she can (thank heavens we live away from many roads!). She was up to 91 lbs. before she was diagnosed with a thyroid problem, and has now lost about 20 lbs. and getting her girlish figure back slowly. But she still likes to take life without too much rush and believes firmly in frequent powernaps. She does have a real stubborn streak, and once in a while digs in and asserts all of her doggie will. We think she is 95% pure angel dog - or maybe she just doesn't get caught . . . 09/05/05 RIP, sweet girl. We love you, and we miss you so much. Have fun at the Bridge, and we will see you again.

Forums Motto:
Don't worry. Be happy. Take a nap.
