It's been one year

Dear Little Lucky,
One year ago today, you left us. You were the sweetest little man. We miss you so much! Thinking of you today as you are forever in our hearts. May you run free with all the other angels! Missing you, tiny buddy!

Missing My Little Man

Although I think about you every day, there are certain times/events that bring back so many memories. I remember how you loved the hot weather, you would bask in the sun on the patio blocks until I called you in, I thought that you'd burn your skin! I think about how much you loved going in the pool on your float, what a trooper you were, you had so little fear as long as we were beside you. You loved the water! I have so many pictures of you in the pool. Haylee & Boo won't go near the pool/water, you were never scared, even after you lost your sight.
As the seasons are changing and it's starting to cool down, I think about how you loved to get under the covers, you could always be found under some blanket. I think back to when you came everywhere with us and one time it was so cold at a Fall festival, your little head peeped out from under dad's jacket. You were so happy just being there with us.
I won't be able to keep you warm, it will be the first winter without you. I still feel for you tucked away under the covers, in my bed. I know that you are in a better place. You'll forever be in my heart and I'm hoping that will keep you warm, my little angel, Lucky.

Missing you

Lucky, we miss you so much. Everyday we are reminded of your presence. You were a sweet little man. Haylee has been very sad. She cries and looks for you, she now sleeps alone, without her little buddy. You too were so cute together. I long to hold your little face and kiss your tiny eyes. I pray that you are flying with the angels and having fun with all the other babies. Kisses to my sweet tiny man.

Unfortunately, after many, many trips to the vet's, Lucky has gone blind due to his diabetes. He was seen by two veterinarians and has been on four different insulins. He went through alot of discomfort with the testing. He started losing his sight, but has strengthened his other senses. He's still a happy little, devoted guy! Lucky has learned to go up and down steps by smell and very little help. We have worked with him to help him with the fears that come with not being able to see. He's eating well and nothing has changed other than he takes alittle more time to find out where he's going or get out of the way of harm. It's been a whole new experience, as long as his body stays healthy, I think he'll do just fine. He's enjoying even more pampering than he already had in his life. He's a fighter!
