Likes:
Jordy loved visitors (he was always convinced that all my friends were coming to see him), food-related events like BBQs, children, and paddling in shallow water. (He never did learn to swim!)

Pet-Peeves:
Jordy always felt that the cats got away with far too much. He also hated bathtime, though being towel-dried almost made up for it.

Favorite Toy:
By the end of his life Jordy was far too dignified for toys. Or so we thought, until one day a spiky plastic ball caught his eye and he played soccer with it for half an hour. A puppy unto his death!

Favorite Food:
All food was good food. But cat-poop was a highlight (I called it "digging for truffles")

Favorite Walk:
Jordy loved going anywhere and was such an endearing and well-behaved creature that you literally could take him anywhere. Once a crazy flatmate took him on the train. "He was a bit funny on the escalators" she said.

Best Tricks:
Tricks are for show-ponies.

Arrival Story:
Jordy was my 18th birthday present. We went out 'just to see' his litter. My mother then said 'well, we'll go home and talk to your father about it...' I suggested that she was out of her mind if she thought I was leaving without one! He saw me through several boyfriends and many mad flatmates, and was beloved by all who knew him.

Bio:
Best dog ever! As an acquaintance once put it, Jordy is the kind of dog that people who don't like dogs, like. Even his death at the age of 12 was perfect. I was stressing that I wouldn't be able to make 'the decision', so he curled up in front of the fire and just went to sleep forever. His last weekend on this earth was great and he was better than he'd been for ages. I think he knew the end was in sight and was determined to make his mum happy before he went!
