Arrival Story:
Einstein was a "foster dog" I could not part with. An old landlord found him wandering the streets at night in the rain. She rescued him right before he was hit by a car. It turns out that little Einie only had one eye and that eye was completely blind. As a poor student on limited resources, I thought I would foster him until I found a good home for him, but he stole my heart. Einie was definitely one of a kind. He was known to bite sometimes, thus his nickname "Monster." But he was such a good dog, one that didn't fuss or chew things...and one who would get in a protective stance for me when strangers were around. He lived with me from 2002 to 2009 and it was difficult for me to imagine my life without him as he became progressively more ill. He went to heaven on May 20, 2009.

Bio:
My animal rescue volunteer work is in honor of Einstein. I encourage everyone to open your home to a rescue dog or kitty.
