Favorite Walk:

Best Tricks:

Arrival Story:
Jack is one of two puppies in our family from the same litter. His brother Mojo lives with Jack's "grandma" and "grandpa." A while after we got the puppies we began to think that perhaps they had been abused in their previous home. Both dogs are a little touchy in certain situations and very uncomfortable with men in dark clothes or uniforms wearing hats. So we feel like we've sort of rescued them from a bad situation and now spoil them rotten to make up for any trouble they had in their puppihood.

Things have been so awesome around my house lately. My mommy has been so sweet to me. She always is, but I just love her so much that I can't help bragging about how she loves to cuddle with me and pet me and call me sweet names. Sophie got in trouble for stealing extra food out of my bowl when I was finished, so now Mommy and Daddy have changed our feeding schedule. I think it will be good for her, she's getting to be a bit of a chubby doggie. Meanwhile, I am, as usual, perfectly svelt.

We got to go visit my Grandma and Grandpa on Mommy's Day this weekend. It was so much fun. My Grandma and Grandpa are so nice. They love me so much. Daddy's Grandma was there too, she gives us lots and lots of treats from the table. We never get those at home, so it was extra special.

Then we stayed over to watch TV. It's extra fun to watch TV at Grandma and Grandpa's house because they have a really big TV and comfy couches. Plus there are so many extra people to snuggle with me. Obviously, it was lot's of fun for me, even if Sophie kept trying to get in the way.

Snuggle and kisses,

This is a haircut?

I love my mommy, but I think she's got too far. I know it's been really hot out. I know I've been panting a lot, drinking a bit more water than usual, maybe even taking a few more naps in the air conditioned house. But mommy, daddy, I think you may have over reacted.

Sophie and I do need hair cuts...but I think we could have waited for the professionals. Now I have the most ridiculous fiasco of a haircut I think possible. My mommy and daddy had the brillant idea to try to cut my hair on their own. They've done this before, but never when it was so long. Guys, if you're going to make a habit of this could you please invest in some higher quality equipment?

The results....I still have one long haired paw, my head hasn't been touched and the rest of me has been clipped erratically and unevenlly at best. Mommy even resorted to cutting my hair with scissors, before they finally gave up. Sophie, on the other hand, managed to come away will all her hair intact. Sometimes I really hate her.

I do love my mommy enough to not really care about my haircut though and she made us appointments with the pros so I forgive her. But I still don't forgive daddy, it was his idea, and he keeps making fun of me and calling me lefty because my left paw looks so much bigger than the others. Anyway, I think I'll avoid going out in public until I get this taken care of.

This weekend I got to go to Eagle Lake with my mommy and daddy. Sophie came too. It was really fun. Grandma and Grandpa were there and so were Mo, Honey, Suki, and Lucy. I had a lot of fun playing with the other doggies, but Sophie kept getting in the way, she just doesn't play right. We ran around and barked at stuff and we stole some marshmellows. They were really yummy.

It was really cold though so mommy wouldn't let me and Sophie go swimming. Sophie doesn't know what she's missing out on, but I was kinda disappointed. Next time we go camping it shouldn't be as cold, mommy didn't seem to have much fun since she was so cold, so I don't think we'll go back to the lake until it's warmer. Then we can go swimming. Swimming is the best.
