So I'm bummed because mom is getting a new pest, err, puppy, for her birthday & I really like being the baby of the pack around here. I'm not much of a sharer of anything except with Yoda and now there's going to be a bouncy, want to play girl bugging me.
I am so not sharing my stuff with her. So there. Well maybe I will. Maybe mom and everyone will make sure I get lots of hugs and tummy rubs to let me know I'm still special and loved when Sukey gets here, that would work maybe. We'll have to see I guess.
Why'd they have to get a girl anyhow? Sheesh!

We found Angus while looking specifically for a Sheltie to raise, love & eventually train for agility. My youngest daughter, Kaity, and I love this sport.
We were referred to Angus' breeders by good friends & went to meet them & his sire & dam. They had a great place, the dogs live as part of the family not all kenneled. We saw some siblings from previous litters & we fell head over heels. So then we saw the litter he was in & wow, it was hard. They had black tri, sable, blue merle, it was so hard. Then choosing male or female was not easy either.
Finally we felt we'd been chosen by him & that was that! We paid our deposit, read & signed the contract & went home to let him grow a bit more. Nothing like being with your littermates & parents to make a nice, stable puppy :D
He eventually came to join us & we started his crate training in a wire crate. We prefer them as it allows them to see, allows airflow, and they don't feel isolated as much. Erick, my husband, put in a divider to make it small & cozy up front & Angus took right to crate & potty training like a trooper. He now views, as he should, his crate as his den & place to go when he wants to rest or hide a favored toy from Yoda or SamiJo.
He's progressing right thru puppy k & moving on so hopefully we'll soon start agility work. The trainer we want to work with is a friend from church, is very educated & experienced with dogs & competes all over the country. Her husband also builds agility equipment & they have a fantastic, well-organized training center with an indoor for bad weather training & an extensive outdoor course as well. She now has several other trainers working with her at the facility to ensure her clients are well serviced in various areas of dog training & events.
