Arrival Story:
Around about September 2004 these nice folks at the vet's office said they knew just the right suckers.....I mean people to call about a home for me. Here is my story. As a little bitty guy I was tied up outside to a tree with a clothesline around my neck by some *%$#@....oh...mom says I shouldn't use that kind of language (hey I'm still learning). Anyway, the idiots never came out and loosened up the clothesline. They just let it grow into my skin pretty deep too. Somehow I was taken to this nice place where this guy (Dr. Castro) and his possee(Jennifer and Katie) did surgery on me and helped nurse me back to life. I was pretty skinny and sick too but I just need a little TLC. The folks who brought me in to the vet never came back (good riddance) and after a while when I was all better Dr. Castro called my new parents and asked if they could squeeze in one more dog? Dr. Castro knows my mom and dad real well and he knew they would take one look at me and walk out with a new son....he was right! It took some adjusting to this house hold. With 5 other pups I wasn't sure where I belonged but we all figured it out and now we do pretty good together. Except that one girl....she thinks shes the pack leader....she gets real upset when I try to get kisses from mom I have to wait till she is asleep to steal those kisses but that's ok because I am most at home on dad's lap. Mom says I need more "house manners" (I was raised outside ya' know) and I am tryin' hard to please her...she comes around more everyday:> She says my redeming factor is how smart I am and the way I can twist my head to each side. She thinks it's cute I really just have a knink in my neck but don't tell her! As far as my sister is concerned I only stole that tiara from her one time and hey I didn't know it was special I thought it was a shiny toy. She has been out to get me ever since! Well that's it....if any one knows a way to keep me from barking all the time please let my mom and dad know.....I just like to talk alot what's the big deal? Update 2010...I continue to be the cutest and the smartest in my own estimation of this entire pack... I am my father's shadow...I go with him everywhere...Hey someone has to look after him! He is very forgetful and may lose his way around this big 'ol house! Mom loves me and I really enjoy surprising her by pushing her lap top out of her lap and laying in it looking cute and waiting for some neck scratchins' ...although sometimes when I do that she uses that language she told me not to use and that confuses me...oh well...
