Dear Diary, Things have been going great staying here in IL, but I still feel like I am missing something, I still keep searching for a family of my very own. I got to visit Lulu and her family- what a lucky girl!! And while I know foster momma loves me, I can tell that it is not like Bud and Baron. SO I have decided I have to find a family of my own. And to get all good things in life I know that you have to visualize what you are looking for and believe in it to come true. So here goes... I am looking for a family that likes to cuddle and give hugs and kisses.... That would like to take walks with me around the neighborhood or at the dog park.... That maybe even had another dog in the house or nearby for me to play with... A family that would be around alot so I didn't get lonely... a family maybe with kids that would play fetch with me.... a family that would see what a good boy I am with love and attention. I sure would love to find a family of my very own...Don't worry, diary I will take you with me too!

Adventures in the Suburbs!?

I have lead a simple life. I was happy when we occasionslly got fed, I loved the days it rained because then we got water, and while in the shelter I waited and hoped for someone to come and take me on a walk! Then one day the nice shelter workers took me on a long long ride... and I got into this ladies' truck and life suddenly got a lot more complicated. This lady had pillows, pig ears tennis balls, chew toys, ropes, and other kinds of interesting devices. My favorite was something called a snowscraper, but apparently that wasn't really for me. So all these things... and to be honest I had no idea what to do with them! It then got even crazier when we went into this place that had other hounds and all these chairs, couches and stuff. I had never seen so many pillows, pieces of furniture and don't even get me started on the shoes this lady has! I think I spent all last night sniffing and assessing what items where dogs things and which were not... so I get a few guesses wrong now and then? Could ya blame me? This morning we got up real early and everyone got leashed together and we went on a walk. There are lots of houses and cars and people in this place called the suburbs. I am not sure what to think of it all. Everyone seems nice though and I have gotten a lot of food and treats since I have been here.... Maybe you can take a boy out of the country... But I am sure I will still have the country in the boy!
