So hot!

It's been so hot the past couple days. Mom moved my crate back into her bedroom so I can be in the air conditioning. I spent the day splashing in my pool. I especially love when the water's fresh and clean! Mom keeps wanting to put my toys in the water, but I take them right out. Hopefully tomorrow will be much cooler so I can go on an afternoon walk.

Getting new teeth

I am getting these new teeth in and they are so big!!!! I can really chew on things now!

Swimming Pool!

I've got a little swimming pool and it's so much fun! I love to run around in it in circles and jump in and out of it! I don't like it when my family puts my toys in it though!

It's Hot!

It's been so hot lately, in the 90s! I got another bath today because I like to dig in the mud and get dirty. I think I'm finally getting the hang of this housetraining thing too. If I cry by the door to go out and then go potty, when I come back in I get a cookie! Who knew getting a cookie could be so easy?!

Puppy Class!

I had my first puppy class today. It was at the vet's office, so I was scared at first. There were two other puppies there: a Bernese Mountain Dog and a Golden Retriever. They were a lot bigger than me even if I am up to 16.8 pounds! I like being around other puppies. We were in the same room as the intermediate class and there were two other border collies there. One of them even looked like my dad! Everyone was saying what a cute puppy I am and how smart Border Collies are. A man said to my Pa during our walk today that if we ever see another dog like Hayleigh let him know because he wants one! Awww! I'm the hit of the neighborhood!

Puppy's sad

I'm sad. Amanda's going to New York City for 5 days. I'm going to miss playing with her. She's my favorite person to play in the backyard with! She's my favorite cuddling partner. I love it when she lets me sleep in her lap on the couch. Hopefully she'll bring me a new toy. Maybe a squeaky Statue of Liberty?

Oh oh, I got two new toys yesterday! A teething ring thing and a squeaky plush dog. My people spoil me. I know what some words mean too! I know "out" and "cookie" I especially love "cookie", although my cookies taste an awful lot like dog food!

Well I'm getting tired, so I'm gonna go to my crate for a nap. :)

Ears!

My ear pricked today! One of my ears now sticks up almost all the way!

Meeting the boyfriend and my first vacuum experience!

Today I was playing around and was trying to get Amanda's drink. I accidentally knocked some stuff off of the end table, so it needed to be cleaned with this thing called a vacuum. At first I was curious about this big thing being wheeled into the living room. Then it got really loud and was moving fast. I got really scared and ran into the kitchen to the safety of my daddy's slippers. I didn't come back into the living room for almost 10 minutes!

I met Amanda's boyfriend Billy today. He was nice and played with me. I tried to be on my best behavior and I didn't have any accidents! We went outside and I showed off for him by running really fast around the yard and jumping into the flowers. I don't think Amanda likes that very much because she made me get out of the flowerbed. I just wanted to show off how fast we border collies can go!

I hear some big scary sounds outside now. Amanda said it's called "thunder." I hope thunder doesn't get me! Anything that loud cannot be a friend...

Puppy's First Bath

I had my first bath today! I got dirty from all my jumps into the flower bed, so I needed to get clean again. I liked the water, but I especially liked shaking it off and running around the house, after I got out of the tub.

First Day at the New Home

These people came to play with me, my sister, and my brothers today. It was fun showing off and just being a cute puppy. I'm told that I'm the troublemaker of the litter. I can't help it that I love exploring! After a little while, my sister and brothers had to go back in the pen but I got to stay out. I was so happy! The nice people took me for a car ride with them. I was really tired, so I slept most of the way. We stopped once and I saw long grass and for a minute thought I was back at the farm! They put me on this thing called a leash, so I wasn't able to do all the exploring that I wanted. We went back in the car and before I knew it, I was at a whole new house!

I loved exploring the backyard. So many plants and flowers for me to run through! I didn't know how to get to the house at first, but I soon learned how to climb up the stairs. I saw my reflection in the oven door and thought it was my brother, so I started wagging my tail. I couldn't understand why he wouldn't come over by me though, until the new people told me that it was me I was seeing. Wow, I'm cute!

I've got lots of new toys. My Darnfar mommy sent the new people with a bag filled with goodies for me too. I've got this hot dog that squeaks and I already tore a hole in him! I just wanted to play; it's not my fault he doesn't run away like my brothers did whenever I'd bite them!

Amanda, they say she's my new sister, put on the NASCAR race on TV. TV is scary and interesting at the same time. I was in awe and was just staring at it for a few seconds. I really wanted to understand how that sound came out of there.

It's time for me to go to sleep now. I miss my other family, but I think my new family is going to be really nice to me. How could they not? I am the cutest puppy ever after all!
