Arrival Story:
My friend and I went to the pound to look at dogs. I had picked out a full grown hearding dog. When she went to be fixed by the pound they told me that she was sick and wouldn't make it. After debateing I went and looked in on the puppies. There was a cage marked LabX. They were adorable as you can well guess. I saw this small one in the courner that was curled up and sleeping. He was white and fluffy. I told them he was my choice. Thinking I was getting this cute, quite, shy puppy I was only part right. Buck turned out to be shy of everyone. For a year he wouldn't lie down. Just kept paceing the house. And would not let us pet him near his head. Now thinking that he was only 6 weeks old when I got him I didn't think he was abused. But he sure acted like it. At the time my husband was going to school four nights a week and working 40 hours. So, BuckShot was my companion. As he got older we relized he didn't like my husband by the way he barked at him when he talked, kissed or ever just looked at me. Many a times my husband threatened to have him put to sleep. Well, BuckShot is now 10 years old and still barking at my husband. I have to say it gets on my nerves sometimes but I wouldn't trade him for anything. He is part of our family and if I had a child that had his temperment I wouldn't just get rid of him so why would I get rid of my dog, friend and companion.

BuckShot's pound name was Birtch. He had 9 brothers and sisters. And was compleatly white til the last few years where he is getting tan markings.
