We Live in Michigan now

Hi everyone, Well, here we all are in Michigan. We came here last August and it was so hot outside. Then the weather changed and then it was very cold outside. The snow was so high that the tunnels and pathways I made were to high to see over - most of the time my mommie could only see the tips of my ears moving through the yard. My corgi friend Maisey and I were running around before Christmas when her and her brother Finny stayed at our house. I really loved having Maisey visit because we could wrestle and play and fight but the best part was I got to Maisey’s mommie Melanie. I love Melanie. This winter was really fun because we went snowshoeing through the woods and out on the ice on the lake. Then when we would be in Mt. Pleasant I hung out by the fireplace and played with my many toys. It was great! I love running through snow. Snow is my favorite.

We are just now getting a little spring green. Mommie is beginning to plant flowers and tidy up the yard. I have been helping by chewing broken sticks, herding the shovel and chasing away bees. So now - I love swimming in the lake - I am always covered with sand and a little damp. We all went for a ride in the canoe the other day - it is one of my favorite summer things to do - I am the lake patrol. I bark at the duckies and geese and loons. I also serve as lake shore patrol. I bark at the pretty black squirrels, bad bunnies, chirping birdies, very bad raccoons and tall deer. I also bark at the yard in general if someone says that there are kitties.

I also am the Central Michigan University gallery dog. My mommie is the director there and I have alot to do. I greet people, comfort stressed out students working on their class work, beg for crackers and sometimes there are meatballs at receptions and guard the preproom when mommie is writing stuff on the computer and checking her email. So if you want to look at art during the school year I highly recommend you visit us. In the mean time have a great summer!

It's Hot!

It's a hot summer here in Peoria - It has been to hot to be out in the heat during the day. My mom and dad went on vacation to the Grand Canyon and it was even hotter there - 125 degrees F. They say they wouldn't bring me there because my paws would burn and I always like to be outside when I'm not inside helping them work. I am the "canine gallery assistant" for both the I.S.U. and Bradley galleries. I nap while they do paper work, I herd moving ladders when they switch lights bulbs and welcome all of the students to look at the art. Melanie and Josh took care of me for a couple of days while mom and dad were away - they brought two of my friends to play - Addy the German Shepard and Maysie bad girl the corgi puppy. Maysie is a little imp. Then Dan and Mackenzie took care of for the rest of the week and I used my jedi mind powers on them and I believe it will not be long before I have another corgi puppy friend.
Gotta go, Oonie
