A Day in the Life of Farley

Summer!

I am so happy that summer is here in Connecticut! It is so hot right now, but I have a nice stream in mybackyard to cool off in. I just discovered last month how much I love the water and now it is tough to keep me away. Of course, I am great at the doggy paddle. I hope to soon ace my back dive and butterfly stroke.

I love to crunch on ice cubes to stay cool on these lazy days and now my favorite place to sleep is right under the air conditioner unit though I still sneak up on the bed right between my parents in the middle of the night.

Dear Diary,
I am so happy that it is finally getting warm here in CT. I hope that my dad and I can now go for more walks with the nice upcoming weather. This summer I am also hoping to learn how to swim. I was a bit scared of the water the last two years of my life but now that I am 2 years old I think it is about time I get used to the water. I will have to practice my doggy paddle!

Also during this summer, I hope to watch lots of baseball games on tv. I get so excited when I see the players running home or a ball being caught in left field. I start to bark and jump at the tv. Woof, woof, woof for the home team!

I wish so much I had a little brother or sister. My mom would like to get a cute little kitten or a bangle cat. I am very hyper and I might get too excited and bite and accidentally kill a cat though. Oh well. I guess that all my stuffed animals will have to do for a while. I have a stuffed skunk and a stuffed lamb toy that I carry around with me. I love them alot.

I am going to watch "American Idol" tonight. I like to howl along with the contestants. I think it is funny when Randy calls them "Dog."

Well, I have to go and take a nap on the couch now. I will write again soon.
