Best Tricks:
Nellie was offleash voice control wiz when we adopted him. We've slacked off, he's lost a lot of hearing. But if he knows you want him to sit, stay, lie down, come, he'll do it. Getting his attention is the hard part these days.

Arrival Story:
Nelson was 'Pet of the Week' at the local animal shelter. He was having trouble finding a new home after being incarcerated for an accidental child bite. We were looking for a companion for our aging husky. We thought an alpha female like her would do best with a good natured, submissive, older male. And with no two-legged children, he was a great fit. It's worth noting, that he LOVES kids, and we've had no issues with our wee little friends and wee little family members being around him.

Bio:
Mr. Brown, the honorable Senator from Oregon (originally) is a compulsive liar, and rather sexually repressed. Ask him if he's been fed, and he'll lie like a lying sack of lying stuff. Actually, he's a great, gentle and playful soul, and a perfect pal for our other dog and our cat, Surf Betty (the Queen of Fatness). Just don't try to take his chewie, unless you want to unleash his inner Gollum. Very much like Satchel from Get Fuzzy. Sweetly naive to the ways of the world. Nelson was selected as 'Mr December' for the 2006 Bridging the Worlds Rescue Dog Calendar. Yay Nelson! **** September 12, 2007 - Nelson left us to go to the big dog park in the sky.
