Likes:
Basil loved to go on his walks in HIS neighborhood and greet his many friends. He had a "route" that he liked to go on so that he could see as many of his friends as was doggedly possible. He had a special greeting and wag for each person.

Pet-Peeves:
Thunder, Smoke alarms(terrible terrible!) and fireworks.

Favorite Toy:
Mr. Tomato Head; Lambie Pie the lamb and Phil, the pheasant

Favorite Food:
Chicken and rice or anything with the scent of garlic

Favorite Walk:
Anywhere near the water!!

Best Tricks:
Basil's "Best tricks" were: to love and lean on people he loved--and he loved so very many.

Arrival Story:
Fate brought us together when he was just a kid. Basil was the best gift life ever offered me.

Bio:
Basil has a sister(litter mate) Outi and a neice Elsa Rose Bowdean --both of whom he got a chance to re-meet later in his life and be great friends with for the rest of his life. Basil also had many other golden retriever friends. He was a wonderful "foster brother" to different rescue fosters who stayed with us through the years. He always greeted them with love and understanding. Basil was a one of a kind peach of a dog--always loved--always, always remembered!
