Arrival Story:
Every so often we would go to Pet Smart just to see what pets they have (all of our pets have been adopted) as soon as we walked in the door, one of the adoption workers had Bailey in her arms. He looked at my husband and starting licking him. I could tell by the look on my husbands face he wanted to adopt him. We walked him around awhile in the store and decided to take him home. He has been such a joy to our household. Although our 2 cats sometimes don't feel that way when Bailey gets in the mood to "terrorize" them.

Bio:
Bailey has a very sweet temperment. He has been very easy to train because he is so smart. We have to be very careful what we say around him because he knows some of what we are talking about. We have to spell words and if he sees us putting on our tennis shoes(he knows the difference) he gets excited because he wants to go. He loves to go for rides and knows the difference between the car and truck. We have recently started using the Pet Safe fence in our front yard for him. He was running across the street to see his friend Willy. Now he knows he can't go unless we tell he can go see Willy and he takes off across the street. He has learned so many new tricks. He will dance for dog treats and loves to give away lots of kisses. We are working with him now to catch a ball in mid air; he will do it for treats but a ball is a different story.

I got to make my first road trip this week. Mom & Dad decided to go up north to see the ponies run (Keeneland). We stayed with Mom's friends and family. I enjoyed the ride up there very much and didn't get car sick because they gave me motion sickness pills. They made me a little sleepy but I stayed awake the whole trip.

The first night we went to some friends house. They had a huge back yard with a garden I could dig in. I found some fresh strawberries and ate all of them. They were very good. The next day Mom & Dad went to Lexington; I had to stay behind. I didn't think they would ever get back, I was beginning to worry when they showed up. I liked being with their friends but I don't want to live with them. I would rather be with Mom & Dad.

The next night we went to my cousins Nikki's house. She didn't like me at all. I always thought cocker spaniels were nice; this one wasn't. Every time I got close to Mom's brother she would growl and bark at me. I just wanted to play with her but she would have no part of that. Their back yard was okay not as big as the other but at least I could see out of the fence and bark at the neighbors.

I enjoyed my trip but it is always good to be home.

When do we leave again????????????????????

First Hair Cut

Mom cut some of my hair this week and I hate it. I feel like I am running around naked. I hope she doesn't do it again.

It has also been a bad week living with one of my brothers. Tiger got hurt last week and he cannot go outside. He has been very difficult to live with. I have tried to get close enough to him so I can smell the wound on his head but he keeps hissing at me.

Maybe next week will be better!
