Jodi-ness, The Jodi, monkeyface, stinkymonkey, bibo, Jodi June Goosepants

Doggie Dynamics:
not playfulvery playful

Quick Bio:
-mutt-pound dog-dog rescue

anything to chew on. She loves digging in her wading pool. It seems pointless to us, since the water won't stay moved.

annoying people who continually blow in her ears, the same annoying people who pinch her feet so she'll play with them.

Favorite Toy:
anything she can easily carry around. she likes a pacifier.

Favorite Food:
she loves all kinds of food

Favorite Walk:
Jodi likes to play in her own yard. She loves to play in the grass. Turns out she's allergic, though, so she turns all pink if she rolls like she wants to. She's a little scared of the outside world. She loves car rides though.

Best Tricks:
sit, down, up, stay (her stay is AMAZING), sit up, leave it (incredible restraint on this one too)

Arrival Story:
Jodi was very scared and skittish in the shelter. She came to live with us after being in a couple of other foster homes. We decided that she had been through enough, so instead of trying to adopt her out, we adopted her ourselves. To add to her troubles, Jodi is an AmStaff/Beagle/Jack Russell mix. She was doomed from the start!

Jodi is a wonderful and obnoxious little dog. She has lots of idiosyncracies, but she also has a great devotion to her people. She's one tough little chick, but she's also one of the sweetest and most obedient dogs around. She is the founder of our rescue organization and we know that she is absolutely irreplaceable. There will never be another dog like her (and that's probably good; the world might explode if there was more than one :o).

Forums Motto:
Pants aren't for pulling?!? Whatev.

My Brother Cheese

I love my little brother Cheese. He's a weird one. He squirms and bounces all day long, but when we lay down to rest, he'll tuck his head under my shoulder.

Cheese didn't have a good start in life. Someone tortured him and cut his ears off. He used to cower and shake, and do little drizzles all over the floor, he was so scared.

But he grew to love us. He started to ask my mom and dad for pets. He started to play and dance and shake hands. He started to nap with me.

Just like me, my brother Cheese was an unwanted pup. So I lick his head when he naps with me, and I curl up beside him, 'cause I know that sometimes all you need is a warm body next to you to let you know that things are okay.

Advice From a Veteran to a New Shelter Pup

You gotta take this place by storm!
You gotta rub up against 'em,
Squeeze yer little nose through the bars.
You gotta schmooze!

'Cause you only got one shot here
Before they pass you by,
Before they go on to the littler, cuter pup,
Or the one with the pretty fur and the cute doe eyes.

You gotta catch their eye, son,
'Cause they ain't gonna look twice.
You gotta tell them you're worth somethin',
Puff your chest out and give it your all!

'Cause when you hear that big door shut for the last time,
It's the loneliest sound in the world.
