New Hound Bed

Recently I received a new bed because the last one was just wearing out fast. This new one is so much nicer and has a lot more cushioning. In the short time I've had it, I've already made a huge dent in it. It's great because I just sink right into that dent and sleep away all day long. Lately, I've been shedding like crazy in this hot Texas heat. There's hair all over the place, and Mommy does her best to vacuum it all up each week. The other big white dummy brushes me often too, and sometimes I get the muzzle because he thinks I will bite him when I'm getting brushed. I got scolded the other day because I was pulling up carpet fibers. I'm sure I will get "The Enforcer" if I am caught in the act.

Catching flies

Today when Mommy finally got home from work, she and her roommate made steaks. I begged and begged, sat patiently, and boy, what a sucker she is each time I give her my "hey, hey, look at me; I'm so cute" look. It never fails. The steak was delicious!! What a way to top it off with a nice piece of chicken basted rawhide.
After dinner I helped her catch flies who had gotten in when she opened the back door to let me out. Those things are fast! But they aren't faster than me. Aw, jumping through the air, snapping my jaw, taking down those flies one by one. Maybe Mommy will learn some tricks from me.
