 Quick Bio:
 Birthday: July 4th 2003
 Likes: Chasing squirrels, running

Pet-Peeves: Missing Aldo, the other dog

Favorite Toy: Squeaky ball; rope

Favorite Food: Greenies; any "smelly" treat

Favorite Walk: Penn Valley Leash Free Park, Kansas City, MO

Best Tricks: One floppy ear; rolling in the snow.

Arrival Story: Liberty was rescued in Leawood, Kan., and donated to an auction to benefit Liberty Memorial, Kansas City, Mo., the world's only museum devoted specifically to World War I. Thus his name. Liberty Memorial is located in Penn Valley Park and thus is near his favorite walk spot.

Bio: Liberty was trained at PetSmart and sometimes even remembers some of his lessons. . . . Liberty caught wanderlust late one night and gave us a scare, but somehow found his way home. He has gotten much better at staying close, but he remains well-leashed when out of his and Aldo's back yard.

Aldo left today. Our humans were pretty sad as they carried him away, so I didn't bark up a storm as I usually do when he gets his own trip somewhere. I'm afraid he's not coming back.
Aldo had been sick for the past couple of weeks, and I could tell. He wasn't as frisky as he usually had been. He stopped licking the inside of my ear, a habit that drove our humans crazy. No more rough play on the deck or in the back yard, or chasing around with me after the squirrels.
I admit. I'm confused. My humans are very sad, the little dog isn't around for me to tease, and I'm not sure what tomorrow brings.
But I hope whatever happens next will be fun. My humans better make sure about that. Meantime, I hope I can keep them as happy as Little Dog did.
