I have to share this writing that Chrissy, my human sister, gave mama when I passed away. Mama just found it this morning going through the drawers.

Dixie, you were mom's soulmate and best friend. We both loved you with all of our hearts. If mom was down you were there to make her laugh. You were a very special girl to the both of us. You always made us laugh when you barked. You bounced and your ears flopped. I know you are mom's angel now. I know when we hug your toys, you are hugging us back. We were so blessed to have you for 12 wonderful years. I know when we are crying, you are there giving us a kiss. I loved your eyes. You were a one of a kind. We love you Dixie. Rest in peace until we see you again.

Of course mama cried again. I know they still miss me and I miss them.

Today I went to the bridge.

My momma is so sad right now. And I know she misses me so much. But I know she loved me and she knows I loved her. We will meet again someday. Until then I will live in her heart.

Today is my birthday!

I am 12 years years old today. Other than taking heart meds and lasix I am doing great! Mom gave me a great big hug this morning and I know I will get a special treat later.

Had to go to the doctor

I had to see the vet today. I know it is necessary but that doesn't mean I have to like it. My ears have been hurting and I had to have my vaccines. Everybody thought I was the cutest! I wasn't impressed with them. But mom gave me a special treat when we got home. She made us some doggie cookies!! YUM! I forgave her.

Boy did I get excited today! My mommy's human daughter came home from work and she had BAGS! I was positive that there was a treat in there for me and my brothers and sister. WAIT!! What is that smell? CHICKEN!!!! She brought home some fried chicken. I got so excited! Can I have some please? Wait, mommy is opening the cabinet! Oh my, she is getting some saucers! YEAH, she is putting some chicken on the plates. Is that for me? Look at me mommy. Aren't I being so cute? Here is comes, THE CHICKEN! Yummy! I knew some of that chicken was mine. I am so lucky and so full. Naptime now. See you later diary. :)
