Leave a bone for Jack, The Pumpkin King

Nicknames: Jackie boy, Pupster, Dogness, Mudpaws, Baby boy, Angel Puddin', Stinky

Quick Bio:
 Birthday: December 5th 2002
Likes: Attention, more attention, toys with squeakers, running in circles at breakneck speed, chewing daddy's hats when he forgets to put them away

Pet-Peeves: Going Outside, baths, nail clipping, the pizza man, getting put in his seatbelt for car rides

Favorite Toy: Anything with a squeaker still intact

Favorite Food: Anything he can steal from you

Favorite Walk: Mom-mom and pop-pop's backyard

Best Tricks: Shake

Arrival Story: Jackie started our interest in Shiba's, and we did some thorough research on the breed and dogs in general. Never having owned a pet myself, I was very worried about every little thing being perfect for my pup. We ended up taking Jack home in April... nearly 2 months after we first saw him. During the 5 minute car ride home, Pupster promptly released his bowels all over Daddy's lap. Then when he was in the apartment for the first time, he gave us a nice stinky little present on the rug for his troubles. :)

Everyone asks why my full name is Jack, The Pumpkin King. I may as well tell you now, my Mommy is to blame for that business. When I was first brought home, I didn't have a name for a couple days. Daddy wanted a traditional Japanese name for me, his big and tough baby boy! Mommy protested that all the family members like Mom-mom and Pop-pop would have a lot of trouble with complicated names. She also wanted something short so I could recognize it easily.
There was much debate, and some very odd options came to the table. I was almost 4 months old at this time and going through a quick growth spurt. Mommy mentioned how skinny and tall I was compared to when they first saw me as a scared little ball of fluff. She said, "He looks like Jack Skellington!" The Nightmare Before Christmas is one of her favorite movies and she thought it was awfully funny. After all Jack Skellington is a 'Master of Fright', and he'll 'scare you right out of your pants'. I, on the other hand, was just plain scared all the time.
The name stuck. I have gotten much better in dealing with my fears during the two and a half years with my pet parents, but I'm not King of Halloween quite yet.
