when i decided i was ready for my own dog, i knew i wanted a white shepherd. i found phoenix through petfinder.com. i knew she was a mix but i was sympathetic to her story. apparently, she was either put out (she may have been the runt) or abused and ran away somewhere in southern virginia. she was found running alone down the highway and brought to the local shelter. she ended up at a woman's home because of shelter overflow. when i arrived in virginia to pick her up i was very surprised. the woman told me she was also keeping two other dogs and about that time 2 great danes came barrelling out of her back room. right on their heels, trying to keep up, was a little white furball of a puppy and i knew she was perfect.
Bio:
phoenix is especially protective of me and other women. she'll never let another animal near me without reservation and does not hesitate to step between myself and anyone she perceives to be a threat.
