Arrival Story:
It was love at first sight when my husband bought his new bird at the pet store on April 9th, 2005. When I saw both (Shanti & Shiva) I knew that there are the new family members for us.
Shiva is the one with the white paw :-)
There was a strong connection when I was holding her and my daughter holding Shiva. It was meant to be and we all love our new babies a lot.
The pet store owner told us that there are very small and will be small Pekingese - smallest he ever saw! Shiva was a precious gift from my partner and me to our daughter who is taking good care of him with all the responsibilities which of course we adults are double checking on.
She is very loving, very careful around them while learning responsibility and loving care. Mama Zana is watching over all my Babies :-)

after 6 month of fighting a hard fight like a lion my little boy crossed over to the Rainbow bridge since his little weak body couldn't make it anylonger.
This is one of the sadest times in my life and we are all griving incl. Shanti, who is looking for him all over and looks very sad all the time.
He was an amzing companion and i will miss him always and I know it will take time for all to heal after a loss like this. I know he is in a better place and his life purpose was achieved but I still hope that he might want to come back again - in a stronger body to experience life much longer the next time w/o all the difficulties/illness and to grow old with Shanti and us...

It is Oct. already and Shiva just had his 3rd chemo theraphy and is still on hard meds for his seizures. Shanti is sad since she can't play and run around with him right now and wonders I guess what is wrong with him.
He is sleeping and laying around all day - not much energy to walk - we had to carry him in and outside for potty since he lost a lot of body mass and is weak in his legs. We love him so much and can't wait for him to be fit and healthy again.
If you had /have a simillar case and have some tips ~ please write me. He is on Dexamethazone, Phenobarbital and Clavamox + chemo drug / Lomustine.
I try to give him probiotic, milk thistle, vit. C and omega 3 oil with the home made food ;-) - right now he is a little off since he just had the chemo I guess.

Shiva, had a bad night with small seizures and hasn't recovered yet from it. We went to the vet again and we increased his phenobarbital dosage which made him sleepy...he hasn't been himself again and his little paw is not twiching too...I feel very helpless and worry about him.
I had to take a break and took Shanti for a long walk in the park to clear my head, focus, pray and meditate for Shiva...
What I was getting is that he might have gotten the seizures from the Advantage which I am hating to put on them but he is allergic to flea bites and it is full flea season...
I will write more later...
