Likes:
Playing fetch and chasing waves at the beach. Carrying toys gently around the house. Playing tug-of -war with Ban-cha. Giving kisses. Draping himself over furniture, dogs and people. Hugs. Taking a nap with a human. Children.

Pet-Peeves:
Being shooed from the kitchen. Treats that aren't up to par. Being barked at and lunged at by other dogs while on a walk. New things on his walks worry him-ie rustling garbage bags; a tree that has been cut down

Favorite Toy:
A ball to chase! Stuffed cow (repaired twice). Stuffed manatee. Stuffed rabbit. Planet Earth tug toy.

Favorite Food:
Cheese. Good treats. Homemade treats. Whatever his sisters are having-except carrots. He doesn't particularly like carrots. He likes blueberries and mulberries.

Favorite Walk:
Preferably somewhere away manic barking dogs. He walks slowly and short distances become long distances.

Best Tricks:
He rolls over in either direction for a ball throw. Knows "sit", "down", "wait", "stay". He waits for his sisters to go ahead of him. Really a very smart dog.

Arrival Story:
Genmai-cha was found with five other pit bulls in a house in a community in Indiana that had banned pit bulls. The dogs had all been left for 28-days by themselves. A female had been left in a crate. Most of the dogs were in such bad shape that they had to be put down. Genmai-cha and the female in the crate were the only two that they thought they could save. When they found him he was about nine months old and weiged 30 pounds. He now weighs in at 59 pounds. He is a sweetheart, so we figure that at some point in his life, people were good to him. Like our other dogs, he is named after tea, green tea with toasted brown rice in this case.

Bio:
Genmai is a wonderful dog. He is very affectionate and wags his tail when you look his way. He is a bit shy with new adults, but loves children. He is a bit gruff when meeting new dogs sometimes and sometimes gives a growl, but generally gets along well with other dogs.
