   Leave a bone for Puca

Shrimp, Miss P, PucaPuca, Puca Woooooca, Puca shmoo-ka (you get the idea)

Doggie Dynamics:
not playfulvery playful

Quick Bio:
-mutt-pound dog

Romping with girlfriend DeeDee, ball-chasing, full body rubs, napping on window seat on a sunny afternoon

Anything that snorts/rattles/honks/lights up is POSSESSED by the devil (which makes the Godzilla alarm clock the scariest thing ever). Scared also of pictures that stare back, including the dog photo on the Milkbone box.

Favorite Toy:
Chuck-it, of course, with tennis ball. Tug toys, and anything with stuffing waiting to be unstuffed.

Favorite Food:
Kind of picky, but can't go wrong with bully sticks, Greenies, and NB sausage rolls. But we suspect Puca is secretly dreaming of toasted bagels with cream cheese.

Favorite Walk:
UC Berkeley campus, Berkeley Marina (Cesar Chavez Park), Point Isabel, Ft. Funston, anywhere with grass & puddles, more mud the better! New find: Snowy Tahoe!

Best Tricks:
Bang (play dead)! Speak (woof)! Roll over! Sit pretty! Wave (really)! Don't touch (sometimes she just drools)! Wink (just kidding)! Go to your bed/room! Really, she's a super quick learner. UPDATE July 2005: we're learning agility!

Arrival Story:
Kehoe's mom was working at a shelter at the time, and told me to come meet a puppy named "Lily," a.k.a. Puca -- boy, she was one crazy, rambunctious, super-duper-hyper puppy. I really thought she was the devil incarnate at one point. After chewing through many stuffed toys, nipping at my hands and ankles (those puppy teeth...ow), and chewing through nearly the entire wooden stairway, Puca is turning out to be an incredibly sweet, sensitive, scary-cat, and smarty-pants trickster. And one helluva cuddler. No pain, no gain, I suppose.

Puca is energetic (understatement of the year), but also very sensitive and easily spooked. She has mostly lab features, and border collie disposition (obssessive, goal-oriented), but with pointy ears, long legs, and very lean body -- anyone guess the mix? We think she's probably part Border Collie and maybe legs of Whippit? speed of Greyhound? ears of Basenji?

Forums Motto:
