I fell in love with the Yorkshire Terrier the last of 20o4 and began researching the breed. I purchased my first Yorkie, Tiny Toes Toto, in Feb. 2005. Getting Yorkies late in my life, I wanted to begin with adults. I found Jaxon for sale on Puppyfind. Jaxon was unexpectedly breed by the owner's 3 lb male. Since she did not want to deal with puppies during the Summer Months, She placed her for sale. After several contacts, I purchased Jaxon and she was flown to me the end of March, 2005, coming to Michigan from Virginia Beach, Virginia.
UPDATE: It is now 6/14/05. Jaxon did not take with the breeding that happened accidentally when she was with her previous owner. So, we did not get to enjoy any puppies. We will try again and this time the sire will be our Tiny Toes Toto that weighs 4 lbs, has short legs and a baby doll face with large button eyes and the cutest little black nose.
UPDATE: Jaxon had her 1st litter October 17, 2005. She had 1 female and 4 males. How is that for your first litter. She had litter difficulty when Whelping and she was a great mother . All of the puppies have gone to their new homes. Mom hears from most of the new parents and they send her pictures of my puppies as they grow. We had fun together raising my pups, training them to wee wee pads, how to eat real puppy food,to play with all the toys and not to be afraid of people.
Jaxon is Akc Registered. She is Blue/Tan in color and weighs 5 lbs. 120zs. She has several champions in her 5 generation pedigree. Although, somewhat shy and timid when she arrived, she has bonded to me and adjusts more to the new envirnoment everyday. She has a Real Sweet Personality, Good Disposition and Temperment. She does not want to play as often or as energically as does Toto, our 3 1/2 yr old Yorkie, but, they love each and get along great. Toto likes to give Jaxon kisses and of all things, clean her eyes. I learned from the previous owner that Jaxon was shy when she brought her home but by the time she put her on the Flight to me, she was the leader dog in her house of dogs. Significant to her shyness is, I am the 4th owner. She has found her forever home and will only leave me under extreem unavoidable circumstances.
Finally, Toto and Jaxon now have a 3 mo. old sister, Crystal from Oklahoma. She has been with us now for 12 days. Crystal is bonding to me. However, I think having Toto and Jaxon around for her to attach has caused her to be a little slow about completely trusting me especially sitting for me to pick her up. Toto wromps and plays with her and she can hold her own with him. When he does not want to be bothered with her, he jumps up on the couch, sits on the pillow and looks down at her. Jaxon accepts the puppy but got tired of her trying to sleep with her and being constantly being under foot. Now she is trying to be the alpha dog and mothers Crystal, who is now 5 months old (June 7th).
Jaxon is no longer with our family. She was placed in a Pet home where she can have a family where she is the only pet in the Home. Jaxon needs total attention from the family members so we reluctantly decided to find her that kind of home. She is now with a single Mom and her 2 daughters. We keep in touch and she is doing well with her new family.
Miss independence, Alpha want a be.
