 Quick Bio:
| -mutt | -pound dog | -dog rescue | |
 Birthday: September 6th 1995
Likes: When his girl Cassy scratches that great spot just behind his ear.

Pet-Peeves: When Cassy is gone over night.

Favorite Toy: He does not like toys, he does however love to play restle with us.

Favorite Food: Anything we drop.

Favorite Walk: He is actually quit anitsocial, the older he gets the less he likes anyone but us. We only take him for walks WAY off the beaten path.

Best Tricks: Making my daughter Cassy laugh no matter how broken her heart may be.

Arrival Story: My daughter and I had been thinking baout getting a dog and had visted the shelters not finding "the one". One day I went on my lunch hour and saw this poor little guy all sad and pouty in the corner of his cell. I put my name on the list so that when he was available I woudl be the first in line. It took him about a week to come out of his shell and now we have the most intelligent loving faithfull dog God ever gave a family. Man are we lucky or what??

Bio: Charlie has become such a part of our family over the past 6 years that we can not imagine life with out him.
He seems to have become the other half of my daughter, they are so intuned he knows when hse is comming home from a friends house 2 min before the car pulls up out side. When she cries he is right there next to her with his head on her shoulder licking off her tears.
She has won many writting contests in scholl writting stories about her wonderful, smart dog Charlie. When she leaves he sits by the window waiting for her....the pic on the top of this page is of him waiting for "his girl".
I had owned other dogs in my life before him however I had no idea it could be like this. He brings something else into our lives.....not sure what it is but wonderful!
He is very protective over his family and will bark his head off at anyone who tries to come into the house.....that is until we say "it's OK Charlie" and it has to be one of us. He will listen to no one else. He sleeps on my daughters bed with her every single night, though he does come in and check on us once or twice.

Forums Motto: Anything for the Love of my girl.

When I was a young'n around 2 or 3 my first family lost me, we were on vacation in Reno, NV and some how I got seperated from them. I looked and looked for them day and night and never even found a whiff of 'em. I wandered aimlessly in downtown Reno looking in dumpsters hopeing to find some scraps, it was a dark time for me. I was cold, hungrey and all alone for rhe first time in my life. I longed for the loving arms of a family, the playful giggles of a child when I licked there face.
I clung to those dreams on those feezing nights when the snow came down all around me.
Then one night as I riffled through a dumpster behind Harrah's a lady came out and offerd me a steak...steak, I had not had a real meal in ages. At that time I didn't even rember how long I had been on the streets of good 'ol Reno. Anyway, I took the steak and as I was eating it she put a rope around my neck and made me come inside...she let me keep the steak. The next morning some people came and put me int he back of there big truck, they drove me to a place that was the most terrible, awful, scary place in the world. They had cages all over hte place and there were dogs, SO MANY dogs howelling and crying out.
I shrunk back into the cornner of my cage refusing to eat.
I watched as people came in and out of the place the refered to as "The Pound" looking at the dogs some even got to leave with the people that came in. Others left with the people who had put me in the truck.......I don't know where they took those dogs but they never came back and rumor was they took 'em some place very, very scary.
Then one day this lady came in she looked at all the dogs and as she passed my cage she looked at me out of the cornner of her eye and stoped. She knelt dow and talked to me very softly. She told me about a girl she had at hoem who really wanted to find a best friend but she was having some trouble finding one at school , sometimes kids can be real mean she said.
As i coward int he back of my cell and listened to her soft voice I felt my heart start to warm and I ever so slowly inched toward her...on my belly mind you. Eventually I was right up against the chain link looking her in the eye and she said "that's it" then she left.
Two days latter she came back with a pretty red leash and a collar to match. The collar had a tag on it that read "Charlie the Wonderdog". It was for me!
She siad she hated that she had to leave me int he pound the day we met but she had to wait for some paper work to go through....WHATEVER I am just glad she came back!
She took me home and I met my girl....Cassy. She cired when her mom brought me in and I have loved her every momoent of every day since the second we met. The best part is she loves me just as much back!
Now I have a warm bed and a wonderful meal every night, and as much petting and loving as I can handle.
I am the luckiest dog in the world!
