Arrival Story: Ostie came to the shelter about 4 months ago because his owners said that he grew too big. Duh!! Hello, male Saint Bernard? Of course he will get big. Sometimes we just want to smack people when they bring dogs in! Bio: Ostie is a 3 year old beauty, who has been at the shelter for quite a while. He really needs a good home with an experienced owner. Ostie is neutered and house broken, and is up to date on his shots. He however is not good with children or small dogs. We heard that he used to live with a child and a shih tzu, but the shelter sometimes changes dogs for the worst. Ostie is becoming increasingly depressed and stressed out at the shelter. We're hoping some special someone will come and take this gentle giant home with them. Sadly Ostie was put to sleep due to our overcrowding issue. The Hillside SPCA is extremely overcrowded, and since Ostie could only be out for some parts of the day when different dogs were in, we could not keep him any longer. This is what happens when people do not take care of their animals and do not research. Right now we have over 100 dogs, and we only have room for about 85 dogs. So please come out and adopt today.
