The first week home

Lazy days of summer

Mom hasn't written about me since right after she got me, which makes me feel like she doesn't love me. Actually, mom and I play all the time. Lately, I love it when she leaves the back door open so I can lay out on the deck and people watch. With the weather being so hot, I don't like to go on long walks; I get tired very easily.

Life around here is good. I'm so friendly and love it when mom has friends over. I really like to lick people, which drives mom crazy. At least I don't bite! I hope everyone is enjoying the summer as much as I am!

Too much fun

Sunday made it one full week at home. Mom celebrated by giving me a bath. I didn't really like it, but I liked being toweled off and brushed when it was all over. We went for a long walk through downtown Leesburg so I could practice meeting people and other dogs. (That one picture is of me under someone's car. I was so tired and ready to go, so I just found a shaddy spot and tried to rest. Mom tried to bribe me out from under the car with water, but I made her get under the car to get me!) I've been working really hard on not going to the bathroom in the house, and I think I'm finally getting the hang of it.

Week One

Wow, what a week. Mom teaches during the day and coaches softball after school. She is really busy, but she finds ways to bring me with her. My first full day home was a teacher work day, so I went to school and met all mom's friends and some of her students. Everyone was really nice to me. After work we went out to practice and the softball managers kept me busy. When we got home I was so tired!

During the week mom has come home during her planning period to walk me and play with me. Some days I go back to school for practice. I love playing in the open fields with the managers. They run with me, play ball with me, and even give me water when I am thirsty!
