Arrival Story:
4 years after the death of my beloved Feliz. Cody (my sheltie mix) and I were ready to move on. Finally our living situation and money and hearts were on the same page. I knew (as I have known since I was a child) that I had to have a German Shepherd Dog. And she was it. the dog of my heart. Tho all my dogs really are that, how can they NOT be?

Bio:
My dreams of Search and Rescue were not filled with Chaya, alas even obedience compition is a distant dream. She is a great dog VERY easy to train and obedient BUT (this is a large BUT) when she was 3or4 months old we were out for a walk and were attacked by a dog. So now she is dog fearful and tho I work with her all the time it...it is not a problem that will make for easy compitions, she is a shy dog by nature this was just the final straw. Horray all of our work is paying off! Chaya competed in her first Rally Obedience Event and did Great. All the mistakes were mine. We have also started Agility and it has made a huge difference in her. She has more confidence and reacts slower to other dogs... We had to retire from agility when Chaya jumped off my bed and blew out her ACL. She is recovering well from surgery and looking forward to doing tracking or so.
