Running at full, breakneck speed, burning rubber rounding the trees and stopping on a dime at your feet! Sleeping so close to the humans that they can't move.

Not being invited on every single car trip..."Don't they know I really, really, really NEED to go too????"

Favorite Toy:
Anything that belongs to the cats.

Favorite Food:
Prefers a New York steak (raw); particularly if he can steal it off the counter without the humans seeing. He was once staying with his beloved Auntie Rose and consumed 3 steaks before they caught him! We don't know how he keeps his trim figure.

Favorite Walk:
Along the retaining wall and to the car.

Arrival Story:
We were living in an apartment building on Guam at the time and one day I saw a pup-teenager living under an abandoned car behind one of the buildings. It took 2 weeks of leaving food and patiently sitting before I could approach him. He is the most loving dog now.

Bio:
Shadow is a boonie dog. He is most likely part Greyhound. Guam has a race track and retired dogs are often adopted or escape. Shadow is an excellent example of the Southern Marianas Sporting Hound; a proud descendant of the War Dogs who served on Guam during WWII and remained behind at the end of the war. The Guam boonie dog is a resilient, hardy and intelligent canine.
