Arrival Story:
Right after we adopted our first Greyhound, CJ, we knew we wanted another one. They're like potato chips - you can't have just one! So we applied to adopt another and Blarney soon became available. We got a call late in the afternoon that he was scheduled to be put down the next morning, so if we wanted him we would have to come for him that night. We committed to him sight unseen and made the 3 hour drive to get him right away. As it turned out, he wasn't going to be put down at all, but being a large male the adoption people thought nobody would want him. WRONG! He is a big boy, but he's sweet, gentle and gorgeous and we would have been happy to have him anyway.

Bio:
Blarney has been with us since May of 1998, when he was 2 years old. He was our 2nd Greyhound. Since then we have adopted 16 more and bought 2. Some were young like Blarney and some were old when we got them. Several have gone to the bridge now, but we still have 12 adult Greyhounds of our own, 7 puppies, and an adoption kennel with 16 hounds waiting for families of their own. Blarney and CJ are largely to "blame" for all that. They changed our lives!
