Anything he can sink his teeth into! Even our Basset hounds ears!!

Cheese. He loves cheese and Meatly Bones.

Around our neighborhood. He loves to go for our evening walks.

Best Tricks:
Argus can sit, speak, heel, shake ,down and we are currently working on stay. We enrolled in obiedience classes that are really fun.

Arrival Story:
As you can tell we lost our sweet Onyx to cancer on December 31, 2004. My heart is still completely broken. We miss him so much! And because We miss him, we decided to see about getting another male shepard. The day after Onyx died, a breeder in Mississippi breed their black shepards. They had the unborn pups advertised on Puppyfind.com. So we contacted them and put a deposit on a male black puppy. Time went on and on March 1 they were born. I fell in love with one the breeder called "Birdie". Well as time progressed , pictures sent , etc.. The breeder had problems with when and where we were to get the pup. They wouldn't be in Mississippi at the time we were going to travel, so we said fine, we will meet you in Tennessee where you are going to be. We still hadn't offically choosen "Birdie" Yet. She had called him that because of the little white bird shape on his chest. The morning that I was going to email and let her know that we had choosen him, she emailed and said that the mother had misterously smoothered the pup at 5 weeks old. But the other pup with a lot of white was still available and that we would loose our deposit if we didn't choose him. No one wanted the other pup, so I figured that "Birdie" didn't die. They kept our deposit and I hope that they bought dog toys with it apparently they needed it more than us!!And if any one out there needs to ask us about this lady breeder that really screwed us over, they can email us and I will be more than happy to tell them about riverdance shepards. After this mess, It sent us in another direction. We saw an ad for pups in Knoxville. We called the number and arranged to go see two litters. The first one had a lot of beautiful pups . Some were extremely large for 8 wks. One puppy attacked my daughters feet instantly. He was absoulutely beautiful!! And big at 19lbs!! But I had my heart set on another solid black one. The second breeder had one solid black male. So we were off to see them. We got there and the lady showed us the pups. The black male kissed my chin and then totally pushed away from me, then pushed away from my husband, and then my daughter. I was crying the whole time. I knew that he wasn't the one. My husband said that if we got another solid black one, I would have my heart broke every day , because I would look at him and expect Onyx, and it wouldn't be him. So we decided on the pup that attacked my daughters feet. So we rushed back across town and got Argus!! He is extremely smart and so good natured. He fits right in and it was meant to be this way. I am so glad that the Mississippi deal happend the way it did. We lost some money, but it lead us to Argus. Everything happens for a reason. Where I still ache for Onyx everyday, I really feel he would approve of our new addition!!!

Bio:
Argus has become a very loyal shepard. I am very lucky that we found him. We love him so much. He is our friend, protector, and cuddle bug.
