Arrival Story:
We were originally heading to Julian, Calif. for the day. On the way we stopped at some wineries in Temecula and spent so much time there that we decided just to head back home. On the way back I suggested stopping at the outlet mall. Of course we found the entrance with the "free to a good home" box of puppies. The people had taken the stray mother in when she was pregnant. We played with them and debated on what to do. Jon was holding her and said "Willow," which sealed the deal. (I had always said that "Willow" was going to be our next dog's name ever since we saw a sled-dog named Willow at Denali Park in Alaska.) Check out her puppy pictures and you'll see why we got another dog that day! (it really had nothing to do with the wine)

I have my Canine Good Citizen certification and have completed beginning agility! My picture was on the front page of the LA Times, illustrating a science story about dogs.
