Well, very exciting things hve been happening to me recently. Most exciting of all is that I have a new home. Me, my mummy dog and daddy dog have all moved house.
Lots of people seemed to be concerned about this. "Has Cookie settled?" "Has Cookie got used to her new surroundings yet?" I don't know what all the fuss was about. I took two minutes to have a sniff around, had a wee in my new garden (digging ground) and it felt like home.
I'm still finding new places to hide bones and chews in the garden, and I love the window in the spare room - it's low enough for me to see out of it, so that's pretty much all I do all day!
Also, I've discovered I like pears. We have a pear tree and I love eating the ones that fall from the tree.
The point to this story is, Us doggies are happy anywhere so long as we have our loving mummy and daddy dogs.
Bye Bye

Apparantly I am going on my first holiday with my family this weekend.
I have been on holidays on my own before, where they send me to stay with lots of other doggies for a week and than they pick me up looking more tanned than when they drop me off. But this time my bowl, my treats, leads and food, even my bed is being packed. According to mummy-dog we are going camping on the south coast. I'm not too sure what to expect, but I'll fill you in when I get back.

Today was a sad day. It was bath day!
Mummy-dog took me for a long walk which involved a muddy river so of course I dived straight in. I didn't think there would be such dire consequences! Little did I know that as soon as we got home the shower would be turned on and I would be plonked in the bath. I tried to escape, but it was no good. In the end I found the best way to get out was to look pathetic, hang my head and fold my ears flat to my head. It worked! Once I had finished shaking and rubbing myself up and down the furniture Mummy-dog got a nice warm towel off the radiator and wrapped me up.
I suppose I didn't mind the bath too much, it's worth it for the fuss you get afterwards!

As a cookie-dog, my life is simple. I sleep, I walk, I eat, I play. I imagine it's the same for many of you. However, just recently I have heard my mummy-dog talking about things she is going to differently this year, and it has made me think too. So, here are my 5 doggie resolutions for 2005;
1. Do not dig big holes in the back garden and the feel the need to run straight in the house and stand on the sofa/bed/rug.
2. Do not leave my bones on the stairs and understand that by doing so I can cause accidents.
3. Do not insist on walking on the wrong side of every lamp post when I'm on my lead.
4. Do not keep the last mouthful of water from my drinking bowl in my mouth and then drop it on mummy/daddy-dog's lap.
5. Keep my dogster page up to date.
Bye for now, I'm off to do none of the above.
